Nursing Care FAQs

The nursing care provided at Clarence Park is tailored to each resident’s individual needs. Our skilled team offers a range of nursing services, including medication management, wound care, assistance with daily living activities, and support for physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and sensory impairments.

Residential care is ideal for individuals who need full-time accommodation along with continuous personal care. It’s an excellent choice for those who thrive in a community setting. While similar to residential care in Somerset, nursing care also offers 24/7 support, but it is specifically tailored to individuals with medical needs, with care provided by qualified registered nurses.

You may want to consider nursing care if you or a loved one experiences any of the following:

  • Progression of chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or dementia
  • Difficulty with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or grooming
  • Recent falls, hospital stays, or frequent medical emergencies
  • Noticeable weight loss or changes in appetite
  • Increased confusion or memory difficulties
  • Challenges in managing medication or following treatment plans
  • Need for specialised medical care, such as oxygen therapy or wound care

Our nursing team will assess individual care needs and offer guidance on the most suitable care approach. We encourage open communication with loved ones, ensuring the person requiring care is actively involved in the decision-making process.

At Clarence Park Care Home, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our residents, including those receiving nursing care. We achieve this by maintaining appropriate staffing levels, ensuring our nursing team is fully trained and qualified, and implementing strict protocols for infection control and medication management. Regular safety audits and assessments are conducted to uphold our high standards of care. Additionally, security measures are in place to prevent unauthorised access, providing residents with a safe and secure living environment.

At Clarence Park, we require a 28-day notice period for residents in long-term care who wish to move out. Our dedicated and compassionate team is available 24/7 to support you through the transition and address any questions or concerns you may have.
